Kim Lissarrague
Kim Lissarrague made his first guitar at the age of thirteen in Armidale. Encouraged by the luthier Peter Biffin, Kim finished school and moved to Melbourne where he worked with Cargill Guitars between 1997 and 2000. Kim worked under the guidance of James Cargill and refined his skills on the design and construction of classical and steel stringed guitars.
These days, Kim has set up his own workshop in the Blue Mountains. Being a classical guitarist from an early age, Kim appreciates traditional techniques of luthiers such as Hauser & Fleta.
Drawing from the research and
developments made in guitar building in recent years, Kim has also developed his
skills in modern guitar making techniques and offers an arch back lattice braced
classical guitar, which has increased projection, clarity and sustain in their
rich, deep sound.
Made from the highest quality materials available, each instrument is individually hand crafted to impeccable standards, producing a unique and beautiful instrument.
